Digital Nomad, Bobbi, puts Walkntalk Tech Accessories to the test while travelling abroad.

Whether you are travelling across states or halfway around the world, staying connected isn’t just convenient – it’s essential. That’s why we love seeing our gear in action with real people, in real moments. We caught up with digital nomad and designer, Bobbi, who journeyed from Brisbane to Norway with her trusted travel tech from WalknTalk. From long-haul flights to arriving charger-less in Oslo, she put our power banks, charging cables, and compact accessories to the test. Here’s her take on what she packed, how they performed and the must-haves she recommends to travellers on the go.

Here's a Q&A on her journey.

Where did you travel?

Brisbane to Norway. Excluding the drive to and from the airport, the trip takes 24 hours – a 14-hour flight followed by a 7-hour flight.

Do you use your phone a lot while travelling? How many devices did you travel with?
Yes, always listening to music and taking pictures and videos while travelling . On long flights, I like to connect to Wi-Fi, just to make the long flights a bit more exciting if I don’t sleep.

What Walkntalk products did you take with you?

I brought my favourite portable mobile phone power bank, which is the 5K Magnetic Wireless Charge. Once you go wireless, you don’t go back.

I also had the 10k phone power bank with me as a backup, the Fast Charge USB-C cable, and the 6in1 Travel Cable, so I knew I'd be able to charge on the plane from any type of USB outlet.

Were the power banks able to maintain their charge throughout your journey, or did you need to recharge them along the way?

I did recharge my phone with the magnetic wireless power bank on the flight, however, I only needed it once during the flight. It was great to have my phone charged and ready to go after I arrived in Oslo, and realised I didn’t have a Norwegian wall charger. With that being said, using the two power banks I got through my entire trip only needing one wall charger to charge both. Additionally, the 10k power bank was great for charging my iPad.

How did you find transporting the gear? Was it cumbersome and bulky, or compact and easy to store?

The 5K Magnetic Wireless Charge is very compact and easy, one of the reasons why I love it. The 10k power bank is also very compact, I had both in a side pocket of my bag making them easy to find and pull out going through airport security as well. The 6in1 travel cable is genius, and it's got you covered with every connector you'll need.

Based on your experience would you recommend these power banks and cables to other travellers?

Yes, absolutely. I would highly recommend the 5K Magnetic Wireless Charge, it’s convenient tech, especially when you need to still use your phone while you charge. Also, super lightweight and compact tech to carry, charges my phone to 100%!
